No snow πŸ™

I should say a little dusting on the mountains and rooftops. A severe disappointment. It is very cold though. 23 F or minus 5 C. This is very cold for here. And there is a brisk wind making the wind chill much lower. It is supposed to remain cold for the next four days. I brought in the lemon tree…I don’t have a brass monkey πŸ™‚

Nearby mountains with dusting of snow.

Italian sentence. β€œsono felice che voi studiate Italiano” in English, β€œI am happy that you are studying Italian”. Pronounced….so-no fell-eee-chee kay vo-ee stewed-ee-ah-tay eee-tal-ee-an-oh.

Good catch! You are correct but not quite as long as a long I. Softer… I could β€˜t figure out how to phonetically write it πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Hey Matt, that sounds more like Chicken and Dumplings, one of my favorites. PA Dutch cooking is very much comfort food. Why not imagine it came from Calagrana? The gulash we had from them on Friday was pretty yummy – but I’m a big fan of Chicken and dumplings…now I’m going to have to make that! πŸ™„

Oh no, I was hoping you’d get to share a little of our pain! πŸ˜‰ They’re calling for sleet and ice here tonight, but it does not seem to be developing – all staying to the south. We’re doing take-out from the PA Dutchie place up the road – Chicken pot pie – not like you’d think, but boiled dough squares in thickened broth with chicken, potatoes, carrots, celery…. yadda yadda. I’ll close my eyes and imagine it came from Calagrana….
