We are all settled in here at home. I’m STILL recuperating from what I caught on the trip. We are fairly sure it is Covid. All the correct symptoms. My first bout!
We are having our THIRD heat wave complete with Saharan sand blown from the desert. Temperatures in the upper nineties or low hundreds. We really do any errands in the morning and stay inside all day afterwards.
Yesterday our entrepreneurial farmer, Luca, brought our delivery of vegetables. Nice. Two heads lettuce. Beatole. A lot of tomatoes. Green beans. Two eggplants. Three squash. Two cucumbers. Two red onions. It’s so nice to have fresh, local, bio veggies. €20. About $23.
These below are my two, producing tomato plants. As you can see, they are loaded.
I thought you’d like to see the two bowls I bought in Aix. I mentioned them in the Trip Report. They are small. About 8” across.
Otherwise we took the Porsche in for servicing and minor body work this week. We went back and retrieved it today in Perugia. Gawd I hate Perugia. The traffic takes me back, give me tranquille Umbertide.

Hi Matt, no we cannot escape anymore. I read about those fires and the smoke. Our sky looks clear, but everything is coated with the gritty sand. Say safe and inside.
We are also in a heatwave here on the east coast, as is much of the US, plus we’re dealing with smoke from Canadian wildfires with dangerous air quality. Kind of a gummy looking haze you can see and smell. I guess there’s no escaping.
